Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Hope Commoners Foundation collects through this website, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.

Who we are

This website is run by Hope Commoners Foundation, a non-profit organisation registered under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (12A: AAHCH2411GE20241; 80G: AAHCH2411GF20241). Our address is Hope Commoners Foundation, 70, Bansal Nagar, Fatehabad Road, Agra, Uttar Pradesh – 282001, India.

For anything in this policy, write to hopecommonersfoundation@gmail.com or call +91 91677 25544.

What we collect, and why

We collect only what you choose to give us in a form, plus a small amount of technical information needed to keep the site secure.

  • Contact form — your name, email address, phone number and message. We use them to read and reply to your enquiry.
  • Donation form (when online donations are available) — your name and email address, optionally your phone number and a short message or dedication, and the amount you choose. We use them to record your gift and to acknowledge it.
  • Payment details — card numbers, UPI IDs, bank details and OTPs are entered only on the payment provider’s own secure page. They never reach this website or our server, and we never see or store them.
  • Security information — a one-way, keyed hash of your internet (IP) address, used only to limit repeated or abusive requests. We do not store your raw IP address in our database. Our hosting provider also keeps standard web-server logs.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this website (see the Cookies Policy), and we do not ask for sensitive information such as PAN, Aadhaar or bank details through any form on this site.

Who can see your information

  • Authorised Foundation staff and volunteers who sign in to our protected admin area. Access is limited by role: for example, people who manage website content cannot see donations, and people who view donations cannot read enquiries.
  • Our web-hosting provider, which stores the website and its database on our behalf.
  • The payment provider, when online donations are switched on, for the sole purpose of processing your payment under its own privacy policy.
  • Authorities or other parties where we are required to disclose information by law.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep donation records for as long as needed to maintain the Foundation’s financial and legal records and to meet legal and tax obligations. Where the law does not require us to keep something, we will delete or anonymise it when you ask.

Your choices

You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. Email hopecommonersfoundation@gmail.com and tell us which enquiry or donation you mean; we may need to confirm that the request really comes from you. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible.

How we protect it

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. The admin area requires a sign-in with a strong password that is stored only as a one-way hash, limits repeated sign-in attempts, ends inactive sessions, and records who changed what. Donation status can be set only by confirmation from the payment provider to our server, never by a browser or an administrator. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us at once if you suspect misuse of your information.

Photographs on this site

This site shows photographs of Foundation activities, which may include people, and some illustrative images. If you appear in a photograph and would like it removed, or if you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about a child’s image, please write to us and we will review it promptly.

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through its forms.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. The current version is 2026-10, last updated 24 October 2026.
