What this website stores in your browser
- hcf-intro (browser local storage, not a cookie) — remembers that you have already seen the short opening animation on the home page so it is not repeated. It holds a single marker, contains no personal information, is never sent to our server, and stays until you clear this site’s data in your browser.
- Admin session cookie (hcf_sid, or __Host-hcf_sid over HTTPS) — set only when a Foundation team member signs in to the admin area. It keeps them signed in, is strictly necessary for that purpose, is hidden from page scripts (HttpOnly), is only sent to this site (SameSite=Strict), and expires after at most 8 hours or when they sign out. It is never set for ordinary visitors.
What we do not use
This website does not use analytics services, advertising or retargeting cookies, social-media tracking pixels or embedded third-party widgets. Fonts are served from this website itself, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts when you visit.
Other websites you may visit from here
Some links take you to other sites — for example Instagram, Threads, Google Maps, or the payment provider’s secure page when online donations are available. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
Managing cookies and stored data
You can delete cookies and site data, or block them, in your browser’s settings. Blocking the admin session cookie would only affect people who sign in to the admin area. Clearing local storage simply means the opening animation may play again on your next visit.
